Date Change!

iPadDevCamp Chicago has changed its date!

The event has been moved two weeks later — from April 16–18 to April 30-May 2. We have updated the site to reflect this change.

The decision was made after consulting with the steering committee (cough Twitter followers cough) concerning the cost of hosting it the original weekend versus moving the event to another weekend when TechNexus would be available — thereby keeping the ticket price low. The community overwhelming wanted to hold the event at TechNexus, and we responded.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we look forward to seeing you on April 30!

Progress Report for March 15

Registration will be conducted through EventBrite. There will be a limited number of early bird tickets, then standard ticket prices will apply. Registration isn’t open yet because we are still waiting to hear back from a particular venue. The venue we select drastically impacts the overall event price, and consequently the ticket price, so we’re in a holding pattern. Unless a benevolent sponsor swoops in to cover those expenses, we don’t want to set a ticket price until I have a venue nailed down.

Speaking of sponsors, we’ve reached out to a couple this past week and hope to have good news to share soon.

Call for proposals is now open

iPadDevCamp Chicago is now calling for proposals!

We will mix two presentation formats: 50-minute in-depth sessions and 5-minute Blitz Talks. Proposals should focus on helping attendees by teaching from experience. Any iPhoneOS-related topic can be proposed. We’re specifically looking for a large number of advanced-level proposals.

For more information or to submit a proposal, visit the Proposals page.
