About

iPadDevCamp Chicago (iPadDevCampCHI) is a not-for-profit event hosted to share ideas and develop applications for the Apple iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad using both the native SDK and web standards. The event format is “unconference” or Barcamp-style, featuring content from the participants themselves.

A deliberately small conference, iPadDevCamp gives attendees an opportunity to speak directly with the presenters in a friendly atmosphere, and collaborate with other developers and companies targeting iPad with native and web applications. Whether you are new to CocoaTouch and HTML5 or you’re a veteran Objective-C code slinger, iPadDevCamp Chicago has something to offer you.

The two and a half day event starts Friday night, April 30 at 6pm with registration and a catered meet-and-greet. Saturday and Sunday, May 1-2, are packed with informative sessions covering topics varying from creating universal iPhone OS applications that run on the iPhone and the iPad to an in-depth discussion about Core Animation on the iPad. Of course, as a DevCamp, coding is king so stop by our hack-a-thon areas to work on your projects, share ideas, and get advice from fellow developers.

iPadDevCamp Chicago will be held at TechNexus, 200 South Wacker Drive in Chicago—a 10 minute walk from the Metra stations and CTA train stops.
